Politicians: It’s Time You Get It- The People Don’t Want Illegal Immigrants to Have State Drivers Licenses!

SAN DIEGO, CA (SCCN) - It should be clear to our local, state and federal leaders, but it’s not. Our political leaders need to wake up to the fact that Americans throughout the country are not willing to allow people, who are here illegally, to secure state sanctioned drivers licenses.
Everyone knows that ID’s in the possession of illegal immigrants are bad news for upholding the rule of law. It’s already hard enough for federal officials, including officials from INS and ICE, to uphold the laws that protect our national sovereignty.
Just 15, twenty years ago, a local citizen could call, and expect the INS to at least respond to violations. No more. If our politicians hand illegal immigrants official state drivers licenses or identification cards, their legal status will be solidified.
Even some liberals, such as Connecticut Senator Chris Dodd, comprehend this. It is absurd to reward aliens, who have no regard for the rule of law, with driver’s licenses. CNN recently conducted a listener survey that revealed that 82% of their (liberal) listeners think that it is wrong to grant drivers licenses to people who are here illegally.
Yet politicians like Hillary Clinton and Rudy Guillani don’t get it. When asked to comment on New York state’s recently failed effort to provide drivers licenses to illegals, Presidential candidate Clinton waffled on her response. Guillani, as well, doesn’t understand the passion that most Amer-icans have when it comes to this issue. The public is fed up with federal, state and local government’s reluctance in enforcing US immigration laws.
National syndicated Crawford Broadcasting Radio Talk Show Host Paul McGuire provides yet another take on this issue. He thinks that politicians giving drivers licenses to illegals is a deceptive way to do an end run around immigration laws. A driver’s license to illegals opens the door to getting things like checking accounts, free government services that US taxpayers must pay for and it will, (potentially), give them the power to vote.
McGuire elaborates on this statement: “The real purpose of giving drivers licenses to illegals is to mobilize millions of voters who will now vote for big government that will provide them with ‘free services’ like food stamps, education, and medical care. Of course American citizens will have to pay for these services through increased taxes … An illegal (immigrant) drivers license will bring about millions of illegal votes which will bring about (a) North American Union which will be modeled after the European Union. I warn about this in my book, The Warning. Along with this will come a North American Union constitution which will destroy our freedom of speech and freedom of religion. It all begins with the simple act of giving out drivers licenses to illegals.”
Every American concerned about this topic needs to become actively involved. This is a call for everyone to contact their local, state and federal representatives and send a resounding “No.” It is about time our politicians get the message.
