The King's Kids Learn Young About Sharing the Message of Jesus
In what has become a favorite tradition of the Christmas season in San Diego, the MVCF "King's Kids" are preparing for their annual Christmas show. The group is looking for kids ages 9 to 14 (child must be nine years old by December 13) to come out and audition for the 2007 edition, called 'Hotel Bethlehem.' Auditions for speaking roles and solos are Thursday, August 16 at 6:00 pm at the MVCF offices on Alvarado Canyon Road in San Diego. The kids are to prepare a one-minute song with accompaniment track CD (preferred), or accapella. CD or tapes with vocals on it will not be accepted. The children may be asked to perform a cold reading, or a simple dance move. Children can also perform in the ensemble without any audition necessary. All kids from all areas of San Diego are welcome to be a part of this exciting show!
The King's Kids, under the direction of Tammi Waitley and Lisa Smith, perform at a number of events and venues throughout the year, including Knotts Berry Farm, Sea World, Legoland, The Billy Graham Mission San Diego, the San Diego Wild Animal Park Festival of Lights, and the Relay for Life.
